I meant don’t play this with kids…or parents…or anyone that is easily offended. For everyone else it’s loads of fun, even if it does make you question your humanity. As for the Holiday cards – only buy one set. The cards are the same, but the supported charity changes each year.

Dixit ($23)

Dixit deservedly won the 2010 Spiel des Jahres Game of the Year award. Designed in France, each card is like a beautiful work of art. In this game you describe this card in any way you like, then, everyone else chooses a card to fit the description, but not too exactly – ambiguity is part of the fun! Everyone votes on which card they believe it is, and points are tallied, but don’t be too obvious or you’ll get nothing! If you liked Apples-to-Apples you’ll love this version with a French twist.
